Organized by Violet Ventures, NYUAD Slush’D is a local spin-off of Slush, the world’s largest startup event and gathering of VC, delivering actionable company-building advice and bringing together the who’s who in startups.
Violet Ventures is the fastest-growing student-led startup organization in the UAE, anchored at New York University Abu Dhabi. With a community of 700+ students and 500+ event participants, our mission is to catalyze student-founded startups in the UAE. We have been selected for the second time in a row by Slush among 13 finalists to organize NYUAD Slush’D. Brace yourself for disruption, lessons, and inspiration.

In partnership with the Hult Prize Challenge, 75 brilliant students were selected to join us for NYUAD Slush’D 2022, embarked on 2 days of inspirational talks and skillset building, stepped into the spotlight, and unleashed their entrepreneurial prowess. They also got the chance to play Bubble football and get free membership access to Playbook, MENA’s largest educational platform!
They learned how to ideate a social venture in the clothing and fashion industry to make it more sustainable, prototype their product, develop a killer Business Model, insert their idea in the Legal and Economic landscape of the MENA Ecosystem, and pitch their business in front of High-Stake investors and judges.
NYUAD Slush’D 2022 Pitch competition winners qualified for the Hult Prize finals and represented NYUAD in Boston under the theme “Redefining Fashion”.
